How We Started

• Growing up in a one-bedroom apartment, I often envied those who had a backyard—a space to run, play, and explore freely. I remember visiting friends’ homes, where they could step outside anytime to shoot hoops in their driveway, effortlessly pursuing their favorite hobbies. Those experiences made me keenly aware of the opportunities that come with having access to simple yet meaningful resources.


• The Nanji Foundation was established as a heartfelt tribute to my mother, whose unwavering values of kindness, generosity, and community service continue to inspire us. Through this foundation, we strive to create opportunities for others—especially those who, like me, once longed for a space to grow, play, and dream.
